VI. INVITATIONS

1. GENERAL

If less than 380 horses in total (CSI2*/CSI1*/CSIYH1*) are entered the organiser reserves the right to increase the max. number of athletes to be invited in the CSI2*, until the number of 380 horses has been reached.

1.1. CSI2*:

Maximum number of athletes to be invited: 100
Percentage of athletes to be invited from the top of the Longines Rankings: 30 %
Percentage of home athletes to be invited: 50 % (acc. to a special handicap agreed upon with NF GER)
Percentage of OC Wild Cards: 20 %
FEI Wild Cards: 2
Overall maximum number of horses that may be entered: 300
Number of horses per athlete: 3 (6 years and older)

The Longines Rankings number 193, established three (3) months prior to this Event, will be used for the invitation of athletes (applicable for CSI2*/CSI3*/CSI4*/CSI5* events worldwide).

1.2. CSI1*:

Maximum number of athletes to be invited: 90
Foreign athletes to be invited: approx. 45 (invited by the OC through their NF)
NFs invited: all NFs affiliated to the FEI
Home athletes to be invited: approx. 45 (at least 50 % – acc. to a special handicap agreed upon with NF GER)
Number of horses per athlete: 3 (6 years and older)

1.3. CSIYH1* (6 AND 7 YEAR OLD HORSES):

Maximum number of athletes to be invited: 100
Foreign and home athletes to be invited: athletes starting a horse in the CSI1* and/or CSI2*
Number of horses per athlete: 2 (6 or 7 years old)

VII. ENTRIES

IMPORTANT
– Entries must be made by NFs through the FEI Entry System for all categories of this Event (https://entry.fei.org);
– Additional documentation can be found at: http://inside.fei.org/fei/your-role/nfs/entry-system;
– All Athletes and Horses participating in any International Competition must be registered with the FEI;
Athletes and/or Horses present at the Event without having been entered through the FEI’s Online Entry System will be automatically disqualified unless compelling circumstances warrant otherwise.
– German Athletes have to enter through the German Entry System NeOn!
– Entries of German Athletes will then be uploaded into the FEI Online Entry System!

2. NO-SHOWS/LATE WITHDRAWALS

NB: In the case of withdrawals after the date of definite entries or no-shows the athlete or the respective NF will be held liable to reimburse the OC for the actual financial loss incurred by the OC (i.e. stabling and hotel expenses) as a result of the late withdrawal or no-show.

3. ADDITIONAL FEES/CHARGES BY THE ORGANISER

– up to a total number of 100 the best athletes from competition 4 and 5 acc. to the following point system:
Winner: number of starters in comp. 4 + 1 point
Second: number of starters in comp. 4 – 1 point
Third: number of starters in comp. 4 – 2 points
etc. (competitions 4 and 5 count equal)
In case of a tie on the 100th place, the better result from competition 5 is decisive. If an athlete withdraws the next best athlete moves up.
Horses: Athletes may start a horse of their own choice, however, that horse must have completed the initial round of at least one CSI2* competition of this event (see FEI RG Art. 261.4.4)

NB: If applicable, Organiser must provide proper sanitary conditions. The showering facilities should be sufficient for both male and female grooms with hot and cold water. Shower facilities as well as restrooms should at all times be in a state of cleanliness.

The indoor arena on the show grounds will not be available for this event.

4. STABLES

Size of boxes       3 m x 3 m (permanent stables, larger boxes cannot be made available).

Horses will be stabled on the show grounds from 10/05/2017 to 14/05/2017. The necessary number of boxes has to be ordered when handing in the entries – the order is binding. If no boxes have been ordered, the OC will reserve one box per horse entered. Only the assigned stables may be used. Additional horses may not be brought to the event, only horses that will be started in the event can be stabled.

Extra service regarding stables (box for stallions, neighbouring horses etc.) have to be sent by email to info@csiaachen.com with the entries.

The 1st bedding with Allspan classic shavings is included, if an empty box without bedding is required this has to be entered into the FEI entry system.
